Mini Dresser Makeover

Just a quick redo today- the old blog has taken a back seat lately and I apologize. It's that time of year when 8 million things are going on and sitting down to edit photos and write an interesting post is last on the list.

Plus I have been incredibly fortunate recently to have 2 real paying design jobs that of course take precedence over my usual furniture fun. :D

A week or so ago I picked up this small dresser from an online classified ad:

I paid a little more than I usual would for a redo piece but the person I bought it from had already done most of the hard prep work. The top had been completely sanded down, ready for stain. And the rest of the piece had been stripped of paint. So all that was left for me was the fun painting part! I was going to snag the larger one as well but the corners of the drawers had been eaten away by a dog so I didn't want to mess with it.

One of the knobs on the center drawer was missing so I replaced them with glass knobs- I think it adds to the character of the piece.

I find myself wishing I had done a lighter shade of gray- anyone else feel this way or does it look ok the way it is?

Either way it's a great little piece for a bedside table, in between 2 chairs, or in a small nook for storage use.

The color is perfect. Also the first thing that popped when I saw it was the glass knobs. LOVE IT!!
