Cadbury Cupcakes!!

Happy Easter Weekend Everyone! We're down in Houston visiting family for the weekend so just a short post today.

I swear I've gained 10lbs since the invention of Pinterest. Here's another great idea I saw and just HAD to make.

Cadbury Cream Egg Cupcakes! Cadbury Eggs are my favorite candy of all time. So when I saw this recipe online I had to make them.

They are super delicious and were met with rave reviews from the entire family. You make the icing from the centers of Cadbury Eggs. Yum! For this recipe and a ton of other yummy treats check out Sweet Tooth Blog. You will not be disappointed.

And since it was Good Friday we had our usual family tradition of boiled crawfish- another one of my favorite treats. Con-Man wasn't too sure about them. Maybe he'll try one next year.

And finally in unrelated news I made 24 weeks with Tiny Falcon #2. 16 weeks left to go!

Have a safe and blessed Easter Weekend everyone!

Easter S'Mores!

Easter is coming up this weekend! Con-Man's MDO class had an Easter Party on Monday and I made these cute little gifts for his classmates.

I originally saw this idea on Pinterest from Confetti's Blog and had to try it out for Easter. These are super easy and turn out really cute. They were a big hit with the Kiddo's!

The print out says:

Easter S'Mores!
*Place chocolate on graham cracker half
*Place peep on top of chocolate *Microwave 10-15 seconds & watch
*Top off with other graham cracker half & enjoy the gooey goodness.
Your one of my favorite Peeps!
Happy Easter!

A Tisket A Tasket-

An Easter Basket for Con-Man!

I went out to buy an Easter Basket for The Con-Man, but everything was either really girly looking (where were all the boy baskets!) or had large stuffed animals on them; which is fine but I wanted something simple for him. So I had to take matters into my own hands.

I bought a basket at Micheals (40% off!) for $5. And using some leftover fabric from when I made Con-Man's crib bedding I got to work.

I measured the depth of the basket and cut out a long fabric strip, then cut out a circle for the bottom.

I pinned them together and sewed the strip and circle together, then sewed up the side.

After it was all sewn up I hand sewed it into the basket.

Then done! Now Con-Man has a cute Easter Basket he can use every year. :D

I put it by the fireplace (that's where the Easter Bunny comes right?!). I can't wait for Con-Man to see it. I saw some at the store with a bow, but I wasn't sure if I should but one on Con's basket or not. What do you think? Bow or no bow?

He likes it!

Spreading Easter Cheer

Ok- I think that it's safe to talk about this now since I think everyone has received their "surprise" in the mail. A few weeks ago I saw this post on the Givers Log and it totally inspired me.

She mailed out plastic Easter Eggs stuffed with candy and small toys to friends and family. How cute is that? I had to try it out.

I bought a few packs of the jumbo plastic Easter Eggs, some candy, and Easter grass- about $5 in supplies. Then filled them up with a little note from our family.

I taped them up really well, I was hoping they wouldn't get smushed and explode in the mail.

I felt like the Easter Bunny when I dumped the eggs onto the counter at the Post Office- "I'd like to get these weighed please?". The workers got a kick out of it, I suspect they don't get things like this handed to them very often. Other patrons thought it was fun as well. I'm hoping my little cousins think the Easter Bunny came a little early this year, and hoping to bring a smile to my family and friends face.

This is a fun and easy project. The supplies are cheap and the postage was only about $1.40 per egg.

Try it out and spread some Easter Cheer! Linking up to the CSI Project
